Lions Clubs International was established in 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. In 1971 it was relocated to where it resides today in Oak Brook, Illinois. Oak Brook is located just 20 miles west of downtown Chicago.

Convention Division Works with host Lions in convention cities to plan the annual international convention for approximately 15,000 Lions Host city bids are finalized five years in advance Coordinates convention registration, housing, shuttles, exhibit hall and international show Responsible for registration, housing, shuttles and meeting logistics for the DGE Seminar Plans board of directors meetings and coordinates local LCI meetings and events
