What is Reachback? Beginnings Current State Why ACC-RI? Execution of OCONUS Requirements by a CONUS Contracting Office Direction by SECARMY in Response to Contract Quality and Fraud Related Issues Issues included: Massive increase in workload Growth in complexity of contractual issues Lack of defined requirements process Reachback efforts started in September 2007 Relationship with Army Sustainment Command & LOGCAP SWA efforts backed by 500 person Contracting Center Extensive experience executing contracts with performance in SWA Experienced with large-dollar service contracts Able to supply needed contracting specialties Pricing, Policy, Property, Counsel Able to tap into ACC acquisition solutions and resources Stable Workforce Customers include: Expeditionary Contracting Command – Afghanistan (ECC-A) USFOR-A, CSTC-A, NGIC 408th CSB in Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, (ARCENT, 1st TSC, CJFLCC-I) 43+ personnel More than $1.5B in annual obligations UNCLASSIFIED
