BCPS and Guitar Pro 5 Using Guitar Pro Software to supplement the Baltimore County Curriculum.

Guitar Pro software can be used to:
Present musical terms and concepts of the BCPS curriculum. Download BCPS guitar songs in notated and tablature format. Edit guitar songs quickly and easily for supplemental use. Download songs/solos requested by students.

Nuts and Bolts File- New, Open, Save, Score Information, Import, Export, Page Setup, Print, Exit. Edit- Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Insert a Bar, Empty Bars, Select All, Voices. Bar- Navigation, Key Signature, Time Signature, Triplet Feel, Repeat Signs, Alternate Endings, Double Bar, Musical Directions, Break Line.

Lead Vocal (Robert Plant)- Demonstrate skill in reading Musical Notation and Tablature. Transpose lead vocal down an octave resulting in notes of strings 1, 2, and 3 forming a C Major Scale.

Drill Sheets Sets a tone for the class. Provides warm-up and focus.
Must be complete/checked to get a guitar. Provides basis for composition unit or end year recording project. Opens the door for discussion of musical elements, articulation symbols, and notation. Name That Tune. Repetition, Repetition, Repetition.
