On each slide there is a question and some possible answers
On each slide there is a question and some possible answers. Each answer has a letter. Choose the letter that is above the right answer and write it on your sheet. Some are quite easy, others are a bit harder. If you’re not sure, give it your best guess.

Questions to get visitors thinking
43
So your questions could be:
Last session everyone made a list of things people might learn from their activity. From this activity visitors will probably learn: It is just the eye of the fish that is attracted to the magnet The magnet is strong enough to hold several fish So your questions could be: Which part of the fish is attracted to the magnet? Why might this be? How many fish can the magnet hold?
44
What might a visitor learn from this activity?
It is the paperclip that is attracted to the magnet The magnet can pull the boat along even without touching If the magnet gets too close to the paperclip and boat jumps onto it So your questions might be: Which part of the boat is attracted to the magnet? Why might this be? How can you pull the boat around the course without the magnet touching it?
45
Your questions will look good on the front of a folded piece of card like this.
They can stand up on the table beside your activity or pinned to a display board nearby. Visitors can then open them up to read your answers inside like this. They will learn a lot about magnetism from your activity.
46
Set up your activity with your sign and your questions so it is all ready for people to come and have a go. Your teacher will take photographs to send to Mr Newton.
47
Respect the work of the other groups by:
Once your display is finished, you could visit the other exhibits at the science fair and ask the host group if you could have a turn. Respect the work of the other groups by: Only having a go if you have permission from the group Waiting patiently for your turn Treating their exhibit with great care
