To revive Fellows-Elect familiarity with Research Methodologies and Writting Skils in Portuguese To define adequately study objectives To evaluate the level of knowledge of the English language To find out the computer abilities to work with Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and To contribute to cohort building among Fellows-Elect To pass detailed information on the IFP program, the Fellowship composition and other corresponding details To collect all necessary academic transcripts to support the Application for graduate studies IFP - Needs Assessment & PAT IFP - Needs Assessment & PAT

Know how involved 1 person able to design and coordinate the activities 1 person with knowledge on Research Methodologies and Writting Skills in Portuguese The British Council Examinations service – for the English Language tests 1 person with knowledge on how to test the Fellows-Elect computer abilities 4 advisers, in selected fields, for the “Selected advice” sessions (that also included the first 2 people above) Issues to be commented on the presentation of this slide: Why to have the British Council collaboration? 6 Needs Assessment preparation
Various meetings between the International Partner and the expert who designed and coordinated the “Needs Assessment” meeting Various individual meetings with the facilitators 1 preparatory meeting with all facilitators 1 wrap up meeting also with all facilitators Contacts with Fellows-Elect to inform on the meeting, to pass them information on the information to bring with them to the meeting and, finally, to send them the “Medical Exam” inquiry and “official” information to present to their employers. First conclusions A “Needs Assessment” cycle starts the relationship between Fellows and the program (and the International Partner). Applications for graduate studies were all sent out for placement A clear relationship was established between the International Partner and the Fellows-Elect IFP - Needs Assessment & PAT IFP - Needs Assessment & PAT
