What is the MAP? The MAP is a comprehensive 44-hour course designed to help academically advanced 10th grade students prepare for the PSAT given early in their Junior year The MAP is composed of 32 hours of PSAT instructions, materials, and practice tests. Additionally, there are 12 hours of SAT preparation offered in the spring. 5

National Hispanic Scholar Program
Every year, the NHRP recognizes about 5,000 of the 250,000 Hispanic/Latino juniors who take the test. In the spring of junior year, College Board notifies students who: Take the PSAT/NMSQT in October of their junior year Are at least one-quarter Hispanic/Latino Achieve the minimum required PSAT/NMSQT Selection Index score (this qualifying level may vary by state, region, and territory each year) Earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher by January of their junior year Hispanic Scholars are notified September of Senior year

September 2018: Notification of Semifinalists and Commended Scholars Fall-Spring Colleges may offer National Merit scholarships February 2019: Notification of Finalists April 2019: Corporate-sponsored merit scholarships awarded to selected Finalists May 2019: National Merit Corporation awards $2500 scholarships to selected Finalists July 2019: Additional college sponsored merit scholarships may be available to Finalists

Conroe ISD Teachers Training You will have the expertise of district teachers with a STRONG understanding of subject matter – CISD course instructors have gone through EXTENSIVE Princeton Review training on PSAT/SAT. Certification Only if a teacher successfully completes all of the training and meets all of The Princeton Review instructor standards, does he/she become certified to teach for The Princeton Review. On-Going Professional Development All Princeton Review instructors receive on-going training and professional development including yearly re-training. We offer quarterly professional development and continual refresher training any time there is a modification to the test for which they are certified.
