2 Objectives By the end of this session, learners may be able to:
Identify common elements that comprise a project plan; and Determine useful strategies and tools that can help you manage your project and stay on track.

3 Project details Careful and thorough planning at the outset can ensure a project is based on a solid foundation. Clearly identify the project scope, as well as roles and responsibilities of various project members – and key stakeholder buy-in. Establish measurable success criteria, define a schedule of tasks to be accomplished, and budget targets.

4 Be the project manager … and leader
This means overseeing the tasks, as well as the team.

Cultivate positive team dynamics Coach members Keep lines of communication open Be consistent, open, honest, and clear

6 Managing the tasks Define and assess critical project milestones through the project life cycle initiation, planning, execution, and closure Examine deliverables and provide project updates Maintain pertinent documentation Manage risks before they become a problem Avoid adding elements to a project without increasing the budget/resources and adding more time to the schedule Evaluate the project by reviewing the process and taking the learnings away Where were the project successes? Where were the project disappointments?
