1. Family background
His parents, Hans Schindler and Franziska Luser, were divorced when he was 27. Schindler was always very close to his younger sister, Elfriede. Schindler was raised within the Roman Catholic Church. Although he never formally renounced his religion, Schindler was never more than an indifferent Catholic. After school he worked as a commercial salesman. On 6 March 1928, Schindler married Emilie Pelzl (1907–2001), daughter of a wealthy Sudeten German farmer from Maletein.

5. Reason why I chose Oskar Schindler to be my hero
Fist of all, I always have been horrified with the Holocaust and it always have been one interesting thing that I like to search about. So, I heard about the movie and I watched, after that I was amazing about the story, which made me search about it. Reading about things that this man made for some people, made me think how brave he was and that we need more people like Oskar Schindler, willing to help no matter what no matter who. That’s the reason that I chose Oskar Schindler, to use his example to show that we have to make a difference, no matter how difficult it is.
