2. C’mon What’s taking so long?
Votes needed to be verified by board of elections
Ofcc (osfc) needed to review Elyria’s documentation submitted in spring 2016
Bond counsel and broker had to prepare for bond sales
Bonds need to be sold in two groups - district rated by Moody
Architect firm needs to be hired – interviews scheduled for February 17
Construction firm needs to be hired – interviews tentatively scheduled for March 27

3. Is the process the same for the sports complex?
Sports complex is a local funded initiative (LFI) – not part of co-funded issue
Board hired architectural Vision Group (AVG) already for sports complex
Both pre-bond and post-bond preliminary work in process on sports complex
Major work re design and completion schedule nearly done - permits and approvals being sought and near completion
phase 1 south portion – stadium and practice fields begin in march 2017
Phase 1 south portion ready for use august 2018 (phase 2 tentatively September 2019)

5. New schools site locations reminder and configurations
Ely site: k - 4
Abbe rd soccer field/spring valley site: pre-k complex
Eastern heights site: k – 8 complex
Hamilton site: k – 4
Township site: k – 8 complex

6. Preliminary timelines for schools to run concurrent with sports complex construction
Spring Valley abatement/demo – August through December 2017
Abbe Rd. site and ely site + program of requirements & schematics phase - March through july design phase – august 2017 through march Construction phase – April 2018 through August tentative opening date – start of school for the 2019 – 2020 school year
The ely site will require approximately 4 months after school opens to allow for remaining demolition of ely school and grounds completion

Eastern heights site – grades 5-8 phase + por & schematic (both phases) – April through August design (both phases) – September 2018 through april Construction phase – May 2019 through august ready for opening sy
Eastern heights site – grades k-4 phase + construction phase – june 2020 through summer of ready for opening sy
