17 Important Things to Consider…..
CCP courses are REAL college courses for REAL college credit Dropping courses different than high school College Rigor – Out of class time REQUIRED!! College Responsibilities- There is much more to being a college student than just academics. Poor Performance/grades has consequences Choose classes that work toward a degree or certificate College Rigor As a dual enrollment student, you have one foot in high school and one foot in college. Faster Pace More depth of content May contain mature subject matter Demanding course work to introduce new ideas and challenge students. College Responsibilities There is much more to being a college student than just academics. Expected to learn how to fill out forms Follow procedures for registration Understand college policies and how they apply to you Abide by strict college deadlines Colleges expect you to be responsible for taking care of your personal and academic business- -not your parent, guardian, or school advocate It is also important to understand that you are beginning a record of academic history through your college transcript, which will follow you wherever you go in the postsecondary environment. It is up to you to define whether it will be an asset or a detriment. Poor academic history can adversely affect the following: your ability to gain admissions into post-secondary institutions your ability to be awarded financial aid and/or scholarships acceptance into the degree program of your choice eligibility for participation in athletics and campus activities

18 Sinclair CCP Students Succeed
Improved outcomes and student learning are central to what we do… We want our high school students to do well and they are doing just that – 96% earned a passing grade and received credit They are actually outperforming all other Sinclair students which signals to us that they have the academic, social and emotional skills to take on college level work. They are graduating and continuing – 12 graduates this past year – on track to possibly double that for this year – Students are taking advantage of Sinclair's partnerships with other Univeristies – reference student in picture above Brandon Swihart, currently a Bethel High School student taking courses at Sinclair through College Credit Plus and is accepted in Sinclair-UD Academy.
