The results of the Provincial Literacy Assessment at Grade 2, in Reading, are shown for each of the School Districts by the percentage of students achieving at the appropriate or above levels for the past three years. The province saw a 3.1% drop and ASD-S saw a 3.2% drop.

ELPA (GRADE 9) PROGRAM The trend for the percentage of students at appropriate or above by program on the English Language Proficiency Assessment at Grade 9 Reading, over several years, indicates that Early French Immersion and Late French Immersion students consistently outperform English Prime students. The Grade 9 Literacy Assessment assesses all students in English.

Grade 12 French Second Language Oral Proficiency Early French Immersion Program Results
TARGET: The goal of the Early French Immersion Program is for 85% of Grade 12 students to attain an Advanced Oral Proficiency level. POPULATION: Mandatory assessment for students enrolled in the Early and Late French Immersion students (as per Policy 309). RESULTS: Of the 451 Grade 12 Early Immersion students assessed, 41.7% met or exceeded the Advanced Proficiency Level, compared to 41.6% in

TARGET: The goal of the Late French Immersion Program is for 85% of Grade 12 students to attain an Intermediate Plus or above Oral Proficiency level. POPULATION: Mandatory assessment for students enrolled in the Early and Late French Immersion students (as per Policy 309). RESULTS: Of the 214 Grade 12 Late Immersion students assessed, 52.3% met or exceeded the Intermediate Plus Oral Proficiency Level, compared to 56.2% in

Grade 12 French Second Language Oral Proficiency Post Intensive French Program Results
TARGET: The goal of the Intensive French Program is for 85% of Grade 12 students to attain an Intermediate or above Oral Proficiency level. POPULATION: Mandatory assessment for students enrolled in the Intensive French Program (as per Policy 309). RESULTS: Of the 183 Grade 12 Post Intensive French students assessed, 32.8% met or exceeded the Intermediate Proficiency Level.

Provincially, 25.7% met or exceeded the appropriate achievement level in science. ASD West: 25.9% ASD East: 23.9% ASD South: 24.6% ASD North: 33.3%

Provincially, 20.2% met or exceeded the appropriate achievement level in mathematics. ASD West: 18.8% ASD East: 16% ASD South: 22.4% ASD North: 27.9%
