Highlighted changes Using the designations of Print and Web to designate the medium of the resource. No more underlining – titles that were formerly underlined will now be italicized. No urls required for web resources. No name and location of library for databases.

Refers only to the medium of the resource Web does not mean website. Web means not print! Web will be used for Electronic journals Scholarly articles available on the Web Articles available through a library database Online journals Ebooks For other formats, please consult the MLA Handbook for Writer’s of Research Papers 7th ed.

“ In the past this handbook has recommended including URLS of Web sources in works-cited-list entries. Inclusion of URLs has proved to have limited value ….
