Types of computer software/websites that can help include word processing, DictationPro, DeskShare Incorporated, online dictionary/thesaurus, and voice enabled software that can read text. One case study determined that the teacher employed these computer websites, apps, and software to enhance the writing process for the four students with disabilities with success and it also benefited the students without disabilities in the class setting. Activity: Utilizing peer editing techniques with a graphic organizer guide
Both partners will receive two different prompts. Read your prompt as if you are the writer. Now share your essay with your partner. Using the revising and editing graphic organizer, fill it out without talking. (TIP: Make sure with students that you narrow down the focus of the “look for” when peer editing) Communicate now with your partner about what you suggested. Lastly, make your revisions and editing suggestions.

Teacher Conferencing tips
