EFFECT of LIGHT INTENSITY on COMPLAINTS FATIGUE EYE on COMPUTER USERS of EMPLOYEES in PT. PLN (PERSERO) PARENT UNIT II UNIT IMPLEMENTING DEVELOPMENT NETWORK CONSTRUCTION SUMATRA II

INTRODUCTION However, the use of computers also have an effect on health, especially in the eyes. Factors that can affect eye fatigue according to the Occupational Health and Safety Unit of the University of Quersland (OSHA) is the work environment (lighting, temperature and kelembababan), a factor worker characteristics (age, refractive error, eye break), factors of job characteristics (duration of action ), and the factors working device (distance monitor).

PT PLN (Persero) Unit Development Master II Implementation Unit Construction Network Sumatra II a PT engaged in public service, there are many workers who use computers as the main task of his job, which is 80% or 8 out of 10 pekerjamengatakan experienced eye sore and tense if too long working on the computer

METHODS Type and Design Research
This is penelititian quantitative with a study design cross-sectional or cross- sectional, where the data collection and measurement of independent variables and the dependent variable is taken at the same time.

Location research This conducted at PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Development Master II Implementation Unit Construction Network Sumatra II, Road No. 46 Pekanbaru General

Population and Sample Population
Population is the research object to be studied (Notoatmodjo, 2010). The number of population in this study were employees at PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Development Master II Implementation Unit Construction Network Sumatra II totaling 33 people.

Sample Sample is part of the population selected as respondents in the study (Notoatmodjo, 2010). The sampling technique in this peneltiian is total sampling is to take all the members of the population to be sampled is to take all the employees at PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Development Master II Implementation Unit Construction Network Sumatra II totaling 33

Research Instruments In this research instrument used was: lux meter, meter, questionnaire, measurement sheet, and a camera

DISCUSSION According to Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No / Menkes / X1 / 2002 on Health Requirements for Work Environment office and Industrial stating for workers performed routine administrative room, control room, machine work and assembly / compiler 300 lux minimum illumination level. Based on the results can penelitaian in 18 (54.5%) of respondents work with lighting intensity> 300 Lux, but brackish No 15 (45.5%) of respondents to the light intensity <300 Lux.

CONCLUSION More than half of employees working on the computer users lighting levels <300 lux with the number of 18 (54.5%). the majority of employees of computer users experience eye kelehan complaint is 75.8%. There is a significant relationship between the level of exposure with eye fatigue on employee computer users in PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Development Master II unit Sumatra II network construction executive with test results obtained chi square statistic test pvalue = the α (<0.05).

SUGGESTIONS For Companies
How well the company can take the level of lighting in office space, especially in the computer desk clerks ≥ 300 lux to reduce the rate of melting in the eyes of employees. For Other researchers expected that this research can be a reference point for other researchers who conduct research with the same object.
