4 Problems with your laptop?
Report the issue immediately to your teacher AND the Student Tech Center in the High School Library. OR Mrs. Goldsworthy with questions: When in doubt, ask for help. 

5 General Care DO NOT change the physical structure of the laptop, including keys, screen cover, or plastic casing. DO NOT remove your name label, serial number, or any other identification on the laptop. DO NOT do anything to the laptop that will permanently alter it in any way. Do not use markers, pens, stickers, or anything else that would change the laptop’s appearance. DO NOT eat or drink while using your laptop.

6 Carrying Your Laptop After shutting down your laptop, wait for the screen to go black AND all lights to go off before closing the lid. Carry the laptop with both arms. Do not stack your laptop under textbooks.

7 Screen Care DO NOT touch the screen with anything – your finger, pencil, pen, etc… - other than approved laptop screen cleaners. Never leave any object on the keyboard. Pens or pencils left on the keyboard are guaranteed to crack the screen when the lid is closed.

8 Charging Plug in your laptop at the end of each use.
If your laptop is not charged, you will not have access to a laptop during class period. You are not allowed to use another student’s laptop.

9 End of the School Day Your laptop must be in the charging cart at the end of the day. Never leave the laptop in another classroom. If your laptop is not returned to the charging cart at the end of the day, it will be considered missing and you will be financially responsible for a replacement laptop.

10 Technology FYI Your teacher will tell you if/when you need your laptop. If it is not needed, it will remain in the cart. Printing – 50 pages per semester NEVER PUT THE LAPTOP IN YOUR LOCKER. Your laptop should always be returned to the cart or the Library (loaner).

11 Where is your laptop now?
Your homeroom teacher will let you know. Please sign SAMS Student Laptop Agreement. This will be done in your homeroom class.
