5 Mission Statement: To enhance the lives of children with diabetes through personal empowerment, family support, community awareness and public advocacy. Activities include: Shot Spots Bear Boxes for newly-diagnosed children Camp Freedom overnight camp for kids with diabetes Parent Coffee Connections Training for school nurses and other caregivers Annual Sweet Run 5K to raise awareness and funds Medical assistance fund Advocacy for children with diabetes Scholarships for students
