Supplier Schedule Report (SSR) – challenge
Case study from an Oil & Gas manufacturing company Changes to committed supplier delivery dates for raw material/components were causing significant disruption to the manufacturing process This resulted in a negative impact to the business with disruption to shop floor production planning additional costs to expedite products to alleviate delay to customers negative impact on overall On Time Delivery Procurement users attempted to manage the disruption via Excel spreadsheets which were bespoke to each user manually managed and therefore time-consuming – approx. 3 days per week per buyer update cycle between buyer and supplier typically 5 working days off-line from ERP system AG Approx 500,000 open PP lines for such products at any time Business Optimisation.
