Questions for Discussion
What initial observation did Dr. Frediman make that led him to begin this research study? Describe the characteristics that define Type A and Type B personalities. How did Frediman and Rosenman chose their subjects for this study? What was the sample size for this study? List the ways the two groups were assessed during this investigation. Discuss the differences that were found between the two groups during the interviews. Discuss the results found on clotting time, cholesterol levels and CHD incidences. What do the results show?

Based on the data what did the researchers in this experiment conclude? What are some probable alternative hypotheses that have challenged this conclusion? Why was this research so important to the scientific community? What is health psychology? What others studies have emerged in recent years as a result of this investigation? Why are Type A personalities more likely to get CHD?
