2. How God satisfies our desire for righteousness…
Positional Righteousness brings true peace:
Romans 5:1 –Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Daily Righteousness blesses our children:
Proverbs 20:7 – The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him!
Daily Righteousness brings God’s provision:
Matthew 6:33 – But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

4. Loving mercy
Micah 6:8 – He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

6. Finding delight in God
Psalm 37:4 – Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Do I believe God can bring delight/joy?
If I do, then God will change my desires so that I desire Him and His righteousness.

8. God’s warning to the unmerciful
Matthew 18:32-35 – “You wicked servant. I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?….
“This is how my heavenly father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from the heart.”

10. Should we demand justice?
1 Peter 2:23 – When he (Jesus) was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.

12. Purity and Seeing God
1 John 3:2-3 –Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,[a]we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3 All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
Psalm 139:23-24 – Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
