Tier 2 Grades: 1st-12th Individual Format Materials: Reading material at instructional level Stopwatch Progress Monitor: RCBM Frequency: 3-5x per week for minutes Administration: Read passage until student reaches a rate of words per minute Tier 2 Grades: 1st-12th Individual Format Materials: Reading material at instructional level Progress Monitor: RCBM Frequency: 3-5x per week for minutes Administration: Read passage a total of 4 times

Grades: 3rd – 12th grade (designed for students with mild impairments who have adequate reading comprehension, decoding, and vocabulary skills, but have difficulty comprehending content area materials) Format: Individual Pairs Small Group (3-5) Whole Class (becomes Tier 1) Materials: Reading material at instructional level (older students can use content-area books) Questions about the passage Progress Monitor: MAZE Frequency: 3-5x per week for length of time to read through predetermined text (20 minutes) Administration: Survey Pass Size-Up Pass Sort-Out Pass

5 Peer Tutoring in Vocabulary
Tier 2 Grades: 6th – 12th grade Format: Pairs Small Group (3-5) Materials: List of vocabulary words Vocabulary quizzes (1 brief & 1 comprehensive) Index cards (10-20) per student, per week Dictionaries Reward Incentive Chart for displaying student names and number of checks/stars Progress Monitor: Weekly vocabulary tests Frequency: Tutoring session 3x a week for 30 minutes; activity time 5x a week for 20 minutes Administration: Introduction & Training Implementation

6 Math Computation w/Self-monitoring
Tier 2 Grades: 1st – 12th grade Format: Individual Pairs Small Group (3-5) Materials: Timing device Math computation worksheets (in area of need) Answer key for worksheet Student Self-Monitoring chart Rewards Progress Monitor: MCOMP Frequency: 5x per week for minutes (dependent on developmental level) Administration: Preparation 1st Implementation 2nd and beyond implementation

7 Intermixing Easy and Challenging Problems
Tier 2 Grades: K – 12th grade Format: Individual Pairs Small Group (3-5) Materials: Math computation worksheets (in area of need); worksheet with 3 easy problems to 1 challenging or 1 easy to 1 challenging Answer key for worksheet (optional) Progress Monitor: MCOMP Frequency: 3-5x per week for 10 minutes Administration
