Facilities Management’s nearly 200 employees maintain and clean our buildings and grounds, provide utilities and energy management and manage the design and construction projects. Our goal is to make the on campus experience a special one for those who live, learn, work and visit Central Michigan University WHO WE ARE

Three ways to submit a service request: Call 6547 (Mon-Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm) After hours & Weekends – For Maintenance Emergencies –Call Action Communication at Smoke/burning odors Natural gas odors Chemical spills Elevator breakdown Water main break Power outage Gushing water/flood Steam line break Exterior door not locking Broken glass in entry door or ground level window Any situation that puts For non-emergencies-leave a message at 6547 and a work order will be issued the following day FM website: FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICE CENTER

The contact for maintenance, custodial and grounds requests Upon receipt, the request becomes a work order. notifications are sent to requestor with work order number. When work is completed, notification and an on-line survey is sent. Completing the survey with any comments is very helpful to the FM staff. FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICE CENTER

ENERGY PROJECTS Since 2009, CMU has received over $675,350 in energy rebates from Consumers Energy and DTE Energy through the implementation of 100+ energy optimization projects

WHAT CAN YOU DO? Keep air flow vents free to allow proper ventilation
Turn off lights in unoccupied spaces Recycle – Call the Service Center (6547) if you need more bins Keep air flow vents free to allow proper ventilation Turn off computers and other electrical equipment at the end of the day Encourage departments to have Power Save installed Call Service Center (6547) and report any maintenance problem you see Report snow/icy areas during the winter (6547) WHAT CAN YOU DO?

BUILDING COORDINATORS
Each campus building has a Building Coordinator assigned. The purpose is to: Communicate maintenance and custodial activities to building occupants Assist with scheduling maintenance and custodial activity in the building Primary contact for space planning Building Coordinator list is on the FM web page at BUILDING COORDINATORS
