4 Weber Middle School Philosophy
Weber Middle School provides opportunities for students to explore, discover and develop their talents academically, athletically, musically, dramatically, artistically, socially, and emotionally with the support necessary for continual growth. Students are routinely taught and practice social skills, decision-making and communication skills.

400+ students per grade 4 Houses (Blue, Green, Red, Yellow) Students are scheduled for classes every period of the day Guidance Counselor and Assistant Principal stay with students for 3 years

Each assistant principal is assigned to one house plus one grade in the Red House Blue House: Ms. Zuckerman Green House: Mr. Swinson Yellow House: Ms. Javeline Red House: 6th grade – Ms. Javeline, 7th grade – Mr. Swinson, 8th grade – Ms. Zuckerman One school counselor per house One psychologist per two houses One social worker 300+ students per house 100+ students per grade

11 Teaming in the Middle School
Provides opportunity for weekly parent meetings by request with teachers, guidance counselor, psychologist, and assistant principal Weekly meetings for teachers, guidance counselor, psychologist, and assistant principal to discuss students’ academic, social and emotional needs Provides common planning time for teachers Enables interdisciplinary projects and collaboration between subject areas

12 A Typical Day Buses drop students off at 7:15am
School begins at 8:00am School ends at 3:10pm There are 9 periods per day and 4 minutes between classes Students are scheduled for classes every period Students eat lunch during 3, 45 minute, periods
