Objectives What is IPADE’s EMBA International Week?
International program open to EMBA students from around the world. Central theme: Social Responsibility: Entrepreneurial Solutions to Poverty. Has been running for 19 years. Based on case method discussions, conferences and visits Over 500 participants from 15 schools in its latest edition. Includes, sessions, conferences, company visits and cultural events. Objectives Bring together professors and EMBA students from different companies, industries and cultures to discuss international case studies and business issues around the topic of the week. Learn about Mexican business and culture through visiting companies, historical/cultural sites and social events. Strengthen international networking skills through participation in the Networking Workshop. Inspire participants to acknowledge their responsibilities as business leaders beyond maximizing profit and providing a good or service, to debate on the social worth of business decision making and action taking in their respective contexts.

What will we talk about during this week?
Doing business ethically is a key strategy for long-term success financially, socially and politically. Businesses’ commitment to responsible practices that unleash innovation, increase productivity, boost employee satisfaction and build customer loyalty. Renowned business leaders will gather to discuss the challenges and opportunities of adopting business practices that benefits everybody in the organization. This program provides a unique forum for executives or entrepreneurs to explore corporate ethics on a wide scale, beyond the standard material on economic and legal issues. Participants will be challenged to see their responsibilities as business leaders more broadly than simply earning profits for shareholders.

This was a great way to meet people from other countries and cultures. I am sure the relationships developed for many people will last a long time…discussing the cases was beneficial and helped me to understand the thinking of the other individuals in my group. The cultural exchange was the highlight of the trip. It was excellent working in groups and getting to know the students from Mexico, Columbia, Argentina, Peru and Ecuador. The cultural interaction was great. This does enrich the EMBA experience greatly. This residency was extremely valuable from the perspective of being able to learn to work with people from other countries, who have different ideologies, and also from the perspective of being able to discuss our various EMBA programs, their challenges, etc…

Student’s responsibility expenses: hotel accommodation, dinners, travel to Mexico.
