2. Law – The pollution control act
The pollution control act – impacted (with recent changes). The Pollution Control Act is the most important legal instrument in efforts to prevent pollution and waste problems from Norwegian sources. The law is a distinct border law, and it has provided a large number of supplementary regulations. This includes hazardous waste, which today is part of the chapter 11 in the waste regulations.

There was 1 June 2004 made a merger of a total of 50 regulations to three regulations, one of which is “the waste regulation", which includes Chapter 11 on hazardous waste
