Edgar Abraham, is a Puerto Rican sax virtuoso, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer. He has won 3 Latin Grammy Awards.

Because of his versatility he has performed with some of the greatest talents in the music
industry. His work ranges from classical to ‘salsa’ and urban music…but his specialty is Contemporary Jazz and World Music ..

He has won three Latin Grammy Awards (2009, 2010 and 2014), as composer and producer.

He has more than 200 original compositions, that blend his classical roots with his Caribbean spirit, spiced with his passion for Jazz and World Music.

His musical journey began when he was a child, and it has taken him to important stages, from his native Puerto Rico, the United States, Canada, Latin America and Europe

He started playing the sax when he was 9 When he was 12 he started composing and began a series of concerts When he was 14 he debuted with the Puerto Rico Symphonic Orchestra He produced his first record when he was 16 He has 20 records and over 200 compositions He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Performance, when he was 17. He also has a Masters Degree in Sax Performance from the PR Conservatory of Music. He plays 16 instruments His range goes from classical, Latin Rhythms, urban music to Jazz. Celebrating 20 years in the music industry he is working on his 19th record. He has 18 productions. His music is versatile but his passion is Latin Jazz and World Music

In a packed Weill Recital Hall, at Carnegie Hall, Edgar Abraham interpreted 10 original compositions of an unusual fusion of classical music, Caribbean rhythms, Jazz and World Music.
