5. The NT as “All Scripture”
1 Thess 2.13 (also 4.2, 8, 15)
And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received
the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as
the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at
work in you believers
2 Thess 2.15
So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold to the traditions
that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our
letter
2 Thess 3.14 (also 3.6)
If anyone does not obey what we say in this letter, take note of that
person, and have nothing to do with him, that he may be ashamed

2 Cor (also 13.3)
Have you been thinking all along that we have been defending
ourselves to you? It is in the sight of God that we have been
speaking in Christ, and all for your up-building, beloved
2 Peter 3.15 – 16 (also 1.16 – 21; 3.2)
… just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to
the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks
in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are
hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their
own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures

Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who
is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by
God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but
taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are
spiritual
1 Tim 5.17 – 18
Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honour,
especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.  For the
Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the
grain,” (cf. Deut 25.4) and, “The laborer deserves his wages” (cf. Luke 10.7)

I put you under oath before the Lord to have this letter read to all the
brothers Thess 5.27
And when this letter has been read among you, have it also read in
the church of the Laodiceans; and see that you also read the letter
from Laodicea Col 4.16
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud
voice like a trumpet saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it
to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum
and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea”

reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light
shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star
rises in your hearts.
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came
about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy
never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human,
spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit
