Lawyers carry out their work in offices, courthouses or law libraries travel is often necessary to attend meetings, conduct research, gather evidence Lawyers in most provinces and territories must have at least two to three years of undergraduate studies (in Quebec they must have completed a college program) Law Society of British Columbia is required in order to practice law in the province You must have a license to be a lawyer
