Allied Health Professions into Action
Maximising the opportunities for occupational therapists Networking event Royal College of Occupational Therapists, London Tuesday 7 November 2017 Led by Linda Agnew, RCOT English Board Chair with Suzanne Rastrick, Chief AHP Officer, NHS England The event AHPs in to Action is a blueprint which can be used to support local and regional decision making about AHPs, the services they offer, how they can be most efficiently and effectively utilised and to assess areas requiring action to enable the change required to delivery future care across the system. As a profession in England, occupational therapists were key contributors to the development of AHPs into Action in the crowdsourcing phase and the event aims to follow up on this. Delegates will have the opportunity to look at what AHPs into Action means for occupational therapists. The day will cover: How the profession can rise to the challenges identified Consider the questions posed within the document Consider how the profession can gain the maximum benefit from adopting the innovative practice advocated within the document Delegates from across England will discuss the issues raised in AHPs into Action with Suzanne Rastrick and members of the RCOT English board. The event will be highly interactive. Who is the event for It is aimed at leaders and practitioners from all areas of practice working within innovative services and to those who want to be able to influence change.
