Lector 620 1D and 2D Code Reader
2
LECTOR®620 What is it? Compact Industrial Simple
What is the LECTOR620? The ICR620 is a vision-based bar code reader, also known as the LECTOR620. It can read 1D and 2D codes. Why the name “Lector?” Lector means “reader” in Spanish. In French, you say “lecteur,” and in Italian, you use “lettore.” And in German, the word for reader is “leser.” Compact Industrial Simple The LECTOR620’s small dimensions enable it to be mounted into tight spaces, such as up against guard rails. Its industrial housing guards against knocks and vibration, while IP 65 and IP 67 variants handle dust and humidity. The Auto Setup quickly and simply optimizes the scanner configuration. : Name (Date)

LECTOR®620 Additional Features & Benefits
Compact Industrial Simple Feature: Auto Focus setup teach-in Benefit : Automatically optimizes settings for best possible read; allows you to mount the scanner at any distance from the code. Benefit : No need to manually adjust focusing. Feature: Integrated illumination Benefit: Red and Blue LED for high and low contrast codes. Feature: M12 Quick disconnect swivel connectors Benefit: Allows for mounting in tight spaces, such as against railings/wall, and also prevents bending of cables. Feature & Benefits Compact, Industrial design Die-cast aluminum housing guards against knocks from moving products. The compact size allows the scanner to be mounted in reduced spaces. M12 Quick disconnect swivel connectors allows for mounting in tight spaces, such as against railings/wall, and also prevents bending of cables. IP65/or IP67 versions protect the scanner against dust and humidity Intelligent Setup Allows you to mount the scanner at any distance from the code and automatically optimize settings for best possible read. No need to use a PC to set up scanner - greatly reducing set up time. This means one scanner fits multiple focus positions. No need to manually adjust focusing. Only one part number needed, as opposed to various fixed focus variants. Multiple on-board interfaces RS232, Ethernet TCP/IP, CAN, USB are integrated in the scanner. No external convertors necessary, thus greatly reducing costs with extra devices. Integrated Illumination Red LED is ideal for reading high contrast codes, whereas Blue lighting helps with low contrast codes. A green LED flash visually allows the operator to see if the scanner read a code. Ideal for noisy environments where beeps are muffled by machinery. Integrated functionality Cloning back-up systems ensure low machine down-time in the event of unexpected incidents. Selectable discrete I/O PNP/NPN (2in / 4out), allows for multiple signals to be sent to PLC. Reliable code reading Reads 1D, 2D, PDF 417, QR codes The CMOS WVGA (752x480), Global shutter allows for stationary and hidh speed reading( 0-900fpm) High throughput. Reads over 20 codes per second. Reliable DPM code reading. Feature: Pushbutton setup Benefit: No need to use a PC to set up scanner - greatly reducing set up time. Benefit: Green LED Good read feedback allows the operator to see if the scanner read a code. Ideal for noisy environments where beeps are muffled by machinery. Feature: Multiple on-board Interfaces Benefit: No external convertors necessary, thus greatly reducing costs with extra devices. Feature: Laser aimer Benefit: Helps you locate the code in the right position. : Name (Date) SICK Inc

LECTOR®620 Part Numbers – Mounting Brackets
Bracket with adapter plate P/N: Skew Angle The mounting angle is critical. A typical skew angle of 20°, in relation to the surface of the code, is necessary in order to avoid glare. In the case of codes printed on metal (e.g., dot peening), an angle between 0° (bright field illumination) and 45° (dark field illumination) may be necessary.
