With the vision of Every Child Succeeds, DPS has committed to five specific goals designed to close academic achievement gaps and prepare all students for success in college and careers. 
Today, we are focused on Goal #4 – support for the Whole Child.

In Denver Public Schools, we are committed to equitable and inclusive environments where:

Note:
In Denver Public Schools, we know that kids can’t do their best in school if they come to school hungry, don’t have a winter coat, are afraid of being bullied or have other social and emotional challenges. We believe we must focus on more than academics to ensure our kids can truly succeed. And that means we must work to ensure students are challenged, engaged, supported, safe, healthy, and social and emotionally intelligent. This is what we mean when we talk about supporting the Whole Child.
