How It Is Spread Herpes is generally spread through contact such as the following: Mouth to mouth contact with someone with herpes on lips Sexual intercourse with an infected person Can be spread even if no signs or symptoms Can be spread whether it’s flaring up or not

Treatments for Herpes Although there is no cure for herpes there are treatments such as: Use of antiviral drugs to reduce and control symptoms Intermittent treatment (as needed) Suppressive treatment (daily) Herbal topical treatment such as coconut oil, aloe, vitamin

Symptoms -You may never know you have the symptoms -Small blisters
-Flu like symptoms -Swollen lymph nodes - Itching and Scratching

Prevention Use condoms when performing intercourse.
Ask partner if he/she has any STDs and sexual history. Limit number of sexual partners. Avoid sex partners with sores on his/her genitals. Do not receive oral sex from someone that has a cold sore on or around his/her mouth. Do not have sex while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. Practice monogamy/ abstain from sex until one has a life-long partner. Practice abstinence.

Damage -Can have long lasting damage on body -Immune system issues
-Urinary tract damage -Future outbreaks (recurrence) -Eventually after year body does help make antibodies to fight it
