2. What is Title I ?
Title I is a federal grant program designed to give educational assistance to students living in areas of high poverty.
The Title I program originated in 1965 when Congress passed the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, and was reauthorized in 2001 with the passage of the No Child Left Behind Act.
Title I is one of the oldest and largest federal programs supporting elementary and secondary education in existence, and over 90% of the school systems in the United States receive some sort of Title I funding.
   The Title I program provides financial assistance through State educational agencies (SEAs) to local educational agencies (LEAs) and public schools with high numbers or percentages of poor children to help ensure that all children meet challenging State academic content and student academic achievement standards.

5. Literacy Goal
By school year, Bose Elementary School will meet the AMO as set by the DPI in each subgroup in Reading. Target: Based on the percentage of students who met the projected reading growth goal in at least 5% more students will meet or exceed their projected RIT score growth on the Spring 2016 MAP Assessment.
Baseline: Spring 2013: 37% Spring 2014: 50.7% Spring 2015 – 58.3% (Goal %)
Sub Groups
At least 5% more students identified as ELL will meet or exceed their projected RIT score growth on the Spring 2016 MAP Assessment.
Baseline: Spring 2013: 19% Spring % Spring 2015 – 54.5% (Goal %)
At least 5% more students identified as Hispanic will meet or exceed their projected RIT score growth on the Spring 2016 MAP Assessment.
Baseline: Spring 2013: 30% Spring 2014: 45.8% Spring 2015 – 65% (Goal %)

6. What did our literacy data reveal?
Although the subgroup of students identified as ELL did not meet the goal by .5%, the group did make a 4.5% growth in comparison from last year.  
The goal for all 2nd-5th grade was met and exceeded by 5%.  
The sub group of students identified as Hispanic made the largest gain meeting and exceeding the goal by almost 15%. 
Although there continues to be work to be done, the number of students increasing their RIT scores and meeting the projected RIT growth shows promise. The strategies implemented through the data driven instruction study and the EL work plan have supported the documented growth.

7. Numeracy Goal
By school year, Bose Elementary School will meet the AMO as set by the DPI in each subgroup in Mathematics.
Targets: Based on the percentage of students who met the projected Math growth goal in
at least 10% more students will meet or exceed their projected RIT score growth on the Spring 2016 MAP Assessment.
Analysis of the Bose SLO # 2 reveals the following:
All Students: Based on the percentage of students who met projected Math growth goal in 2014 – at least 10% more students will meet or exceed their projected RIT score growth on the Spring MAP Assessment.
Baseline:  2013 – 37%   2014 – 54.5%  2015 – 65.4% (Goal : 59.95%)
ELL:  At least 10% more students identified as ELL will meet or exceed their projected RIT score growth on the Spring MAP Assessment.
Baseline: 2013 – 38%   2104 – 57.1%   2015 – 54.5%      (GOAL :  62.81%)
Hispanic:  At least 10% more students identified as HISPANIC will meet or exceed their projected RIT score growth on the Spring 2015 MAP Assessment.
Baseline: 2013 – 33%   2014 – 60.4%     2015 – 60.8%  (GOAL : 66.44%)   

8. What did our numeracy data reveal?
The SLO goal was met for all students grades 2-5 however we did not meet the goal for the subgroups of students identified as ELL and Hispanic. 
This year the focus on the instruction of academic vocabulary in mathematics will help to support all students in mathematics.
