World Understanding 1945, 49 Rotary members served in 29 delegations to the United Nations Charter Conference. Today, Rotary maintains close relationships with many UN agencies. RI’s representatives to the UN in New York host an annual Rotary Day at the United Nations to celebrate this partnership for peace.

World Understanding Peace Camp ‘04, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Muttenz-Wartenberg, Switzerland, brought Israeli and Palestinian young people together to develop friendships and overcome tensions. A Indo-Pak initiative has been done in the past by our district Rotarians and can be done again.

Rotary Action Groups Rotarian Action Groups help RCs and districts plan and carry out community development and humanitarian service projects in their area of expertise. The groups are organized by Rtns. and Rotaractors who are proficient, and have a passion for service, in a particular field. WASRAG : Water and Sanitation : PP Hemant Jagtap. RFHA :Rotary fight against HIV and AIDS

RAGS Each group functions independently of RI establishing its own rules, dues requirements, and administrative structure. Membership open to Rtns, family members as well as participants and alumni of all TRF programs. RAGs must adopt RI’s standard bylaws and operate in accordance with Rotary policy. RAGs regularly collaborate with clubs & districts on service projects in their area of specialty.  RAGs can help clubs & districts obtain funding or other assistance for their service

BENEFITS OF RAGs By joining a Rotarian Action Group, you can engage in meaningful service activities outside your own club, district, or country. By partnering with a Rotarian Action Group, your club or district gains the support of experts for planning and implementing a project.

What differentiates it from VTT?
None of the International service programs are funded by TRF. A typical VTT that goes abroad is either part of a Global or District grant. A club funded VTT could be in IS.
