He rushed down towards the village calling out "Wolf, Wolf," and the villagers came out to meet him. This pleased the boy so much that a few days after he tried the same trick, and again the villagers came to his help. Shortly after this a Wolf actually did come out from the forest. The boy cried out "Wolf, Wolf," still louder than before. But this time the villagers, who had been fooled twice before, thought the boy was again lying, and nobody came to his aid. So the Wolf made a good meal of the boys sheep.

3 that's the story of my life. What does that statement mean to you
that's the story of my life! What does that statement mean to you? There are two different written versions of Jesus‘ birth in the Christian Gospels. They are expressing important beliefs that Christians have about Jesus

4 What are the main differences?
What are the main ideas that both stories contain? How do these stories show what Christians believe about Jesus?

5 Topic: Different stories of Jesus’s birth
What do I know? What have I learnt?

6 Matthew 1:18 - Matthew 2:23 Mary was to be married to Joseph. But before they were married she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. An angel appeared to Joseph in a dream and said to him, 'Joseph, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. She will give birth to a son and you are to name him Jesus.' This happened to fulfill what God had said through the prophet. After Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Magi came from the east to Jerusalem and asked, 'Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star and have come to worship him.' Mary and Joseph then had to escape with Jesus to Egypt so that King Herod would not kill him. When it was safe to return, Joseph was told by an angel in a dream to go and live in Nazareth.

7 Luke 1: , Luke 2:1-20, Luke 2:39 God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, to Mary, who was going to be married to Joseph. The angel went to her and said, 'Greetings, you who are most blessed! The Lord is with you. You will give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.' Caesar Augustus decided that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. And so everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph and Mary went from Nazareth to Bethlehem. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and Mary gave birth to a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room in the inn. Angels told nearby shepherds of Jesus' birth and they came to see the baby. After all this, Mary, Joseph and Jesus returned to Nazareth
