3. Before Reading – 5 Word Prediction
Use the following five words to predict the topic of the poem. Underline the words as you use them in your prediction.

4. “The Road Not Taken” – During Read, Draw, Talk, Write
Fold your paper to create four numbered sections.
Read a stanza of the poem.
In one section draw a small picture of the image created in your mind. (not over ½ of the section)
Talk to your partner about your image.
Inside the section, write a short summary of the chunk.
Continue until you have read the entire poem.
