Albert Einstein German physicist gave new ideas on space, time, energy and matter Theory of Relativity Sigmund Freud Austrian physician who treated patients with psychological problems Theory that human behavior is irrational The unconscious mind

3 New Art Artists moved away from earlier realism to create new forms of art Dadaism Meant to be absurd and meaningless Surrealism Tried to link dreams to the real world Music steps out Jazz explodes in America
