Pour lots of effort into trying to reconcile.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone Romans 12:18
Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. Ephesians 4:3

Resist bitterness, malice and vengeance.
See to it that…no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many Hebrews 12:15
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.  Ephesians 4:31
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Romans 12:17
Do not take revenge, my friends…. Romans 12:19

Resist bitterness, malice and vengeance.
Pray for God to “bless them;” release “justice” to God.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse Romans 12:14
Do not take revenge, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:19-21

Why? Because Demas and Alexander have deserted me. My friends Crescens, Titus, Tychicus, Erastus, and Trophimus would be here but they can’t! Only Luke is with me Timothy 4:10-12, 14, 20-21

It’s okay to ask for help.
Reconciliation is a really sweet thing.
Get Mark and bring him with you because he is helpful to me in my ministry Timothy 4:11

14. If you have a Demas or Alexander in your life (or you are a Demas or Alexander!)…
...throw lots of effort into reconciliation; resist bitterness and vengeance; pray for their blessing and release justice to God!
…remember that reconciliation is sweet!
In the normal hard work of relationships
…remind yourself that it’s okay to ask for help.
…be a friend
