A: Whitish cryoprecipitates forming in Wintrobe's tube after standing at 4°C for 72 hours followed by centrifugation at 400 × g for 10 minutes. The cryocrit is approximately 30%. B: Immunofixation of the washed, dissolved cryoprecipitate typed a monoclonal IgMκ with polyclonal IgG. By definition, these are type II cryoglobulins. (Courtesy of Dr Janette S.Y.
