1/6/2011 Perkins Performance We submitted our third year of data through the Consolidated Annual Report in December. I thought it would be a good idea to share with you where we are as a state with the Perkins Accountability. On the following charts, the green bar is the negotiated level of performance and the brown bar is our actual level of performance. Some of the charts may not have an actual level of performance. That is because there were only certain core indicators that we had to report on during year 1 of Perkins IV. The first year was the transition year. Just as a reminder, we renegotiate our levels every year so that is why the targets keep moving. We are in the process of negotiating the last two year of Perkins IV and must submit those by March 21st.

1/6/2011 Statewide Secondary Perkins Performance 1S1 Academic Attainment – Reading/Language Arts Number of CTE concentrators who scored either proficient or advanced on the Comm Arts assessment and whose scores were included in the State’s AYP computation and left secondary education during the reporting year. This would have been a mix of MAP and EOC.

1/6/2011 Statewide Secondary Perkins Performance 1S2 Academic Attainment - Mathematics Number of CTE concentrators who scored either proficient or advanced on the Mathematics assessment and whose scores were included in the State’s AYP computation and left secondary education during the reporting year. This would have been a mix of MAP and EOC.

1/6/2011 Statewide Secondary Perkins Performance 3S1 School Completion Number of CTE concentrators who earned a high school diploma or GED during the reporting year. We did met this indicator this past year because we are within 90% of the target.

Statewide Secondary Perkins Performance 4S1 Student Graduation Rates
1/6/2011 Statewide Secondary Perkins Performance 4S1 Student Graduation Rates Number of CTE concentrators who graduate during the reporting year. We use the graduation rate that is used for No Child Left Behind.

Statewide Secondary Perkins Performance 5S1 Placement
1/6/2011 Statewide Secondary Perkins Performance 5S1 Placement Number of CTE concentrators who graduated or received a GED and were placed in postsecondary or advanced training, in the military or employment in the second quarter following the program year. We did meet this indicator this year at the 90% level.

1/6/2011 Statewide Secondary Perkins Performance 6S2 Nontraditional Completion Number of CTE concentrators from the underrepresented gender groups who completed and graduated from a nontraditional program. Overall, on the secondary side, we are doing OK. We need to do what we can to make sure that the nontraditional student information is entered into MOSIS correctly. I feel confident that we can meet these indicators.

This indicator was met at the 90% level.

Management/Entrepreneurship (MO Customized) Finance End-of Program (3yr) Marketing End-of-Program (3yr) Entrepreneurship End-of-Program (3yr) The link to the MBAResearch end‐of‐program exams (TSAs) for Missouri is MO End‐of‐Program Testing Options. You will find all of the information you need including the exam description, the competencies (performance indicators) covered, instructions for the online testing process, and the order form. It is important to read all the information and start the process at least 30 days before you plan to administer the assessments. No login is needed to access the TSA information. However, you will see an option on the left of the screen to create an account that gives you access to our MBA Research Missouri Connection page. There are several valuable curriculum resources found there that are free for Missouri teachers to use.

However, you will see from the competencies listed that many are covered in the Personal Finance course. On the Marketing exam you will see that our Missouri courses have different names than those listed. However, when you examine the competencies you will see that our courses align.
