2. Roadmap for LBI Infor BI for Lawson is NOT going away
The Infor Lawson Business Intelligence (LBI) product's name changed in 2015 when Infor replaced its ViewPoint component with the Infor Business Intelligence Application Studio component. Existing Infor Lawson Business Intelligence customers may choose to use the Application Studio component and are entitled to no charge Infor Business Intelligence for Lawson licensing. To signal this change to Infor Lawson customers, the "Infor Lawson Business Intelligence" product's name was changed to "Infor Business Intelligence for Lawson."
The Infor Business Intelligence for Lawson product still uses Crystal Reports as its reporting engine, still uses the Infor Lawson Framework Services platform, and operates a customer's existing Infor Lawson Business Intelligence reports. In short, the product's name changed and a component was added but the product's functionality did not change.
