Weighing up the pros and cons of each app will ensure you make an informed decision.
Activity 1 – 5 minutes
Get the pupils to explain to each other why they chose that app, why is this app important to them? Did they weigh up the pros and cons?
Did any of them change their minds after listening to others?
Explore why they changed minds.
Give out flip chart paper and pens to the groups.
If they had to choose one post 16 option which one would it be?
Write down how would they choose? (favourite/ best subject, career interest etc)
What information would they need? (college prospectus, talking to the careers adviser etc)
How would they go about getting this information?
Feedback information to the rest of the group.
This exercise will demonstrate the knowledge they have now. Return to this at the end of the session to see if they can add anything to their flip chart.
