Door Monitor and Greeter
Make sure the door is locked when leaving, unlock it when entering, let visitors in when they knock and assist them with whatever their visit brings: Introduce yourself Say, “What can I help you with?” Tell them what we are working on Take materials for the teacher if that is what they have and place in inbox Direct visitor to sit in the back to observe

Return pens/pencils and answer key to the teacher when done
Stations Helper Set up, oversee, and take down grading stations and assist teacher with setting up station rotation buckets in their proper place For grading, place an answer key and special colored pens/pencils at the grading station table Monitor as peers bring completed assignments to the station to check their work and turn it in Return pens/pencils and answer key to the teacher when done

IT Team (2-3 students) Troubleshoot devices when students need help; ensure equipment is cared for and functional; at the end of the period make sure all laptops are returned and plugged in properly. Be “on-call” throughout the day to help peers Notify teacher when equipment has problems

Drill Coordinator Grab class roster clipboard turn off lights
Be the last student out of the classroom do a back-up head count (count how many classmates we have and match with how many are on attendance chart) Place emergency drill placard in window with a piece of tape

Welcome Committee Acclimate new students to the classroom routines and have the new students shadow you during their first week.

Floor Monitor Sweep daily at the end of the class block; ensure there are no scraps of paper on the floor after activities Ask students to pick up their own materials and garbage Will sweep in the last five minutes of the class time 2nd Period 11:02am 4th Period 1:57pm

Light Monitor Adjust the window roller shades and overhead lights throughout the day so students can see the board/ screen.

Paper Monitor Assist the class by passing out papers and completed work. Collects papers to turn in and puts them in the correct number order. Places the stack of turn-in papers in the correct turn-in folder.

Supply Assistant Distribute and collect supplies for various activities; refill supplies as they run low or break. This happens as needed throughout the class time and throughout the quarter.

Reviews the seating chart to see who is absent.
Absent Secretary Reviews the seating chart to see who is absent. Fill out an “I was absent’ sheet for those students and attaches any materials for the class period. Places the student’s work with the attached slip in that student’s folder to collect the following day. This happens at the beginning of class, just after the Do First and turns it into the folder at the end of class.

Clipboard, roster, and marker will be provided at the speaker podium.
Attendance Manager Takes attendance on class roster clipboard at the beginning of each class by placing an A for absent in the appropriate box on the weekly attendance tracking sheet. This happens in the first few minutes that class has started, but make sure the entire class has made it into the classroom. Clipboard, roster, and marker will be provided at the speaker podium.

This happens in the last few minutes of class.
Room Tidyer Straightens desks, chairs, cushions, and couch after students are done using them, right before the class transitions. Picks up any items left behind and gives them to the teacher to return to the student the next day. This happens in the last few minutes of class.

Assignment Manager Sorts graded papers to be returned to students by placing them in the correct folder in the graded work bins at the front. This student may also pass out Tuesday folders, including graded assignments. If there are any graded assignments in the folders after Tuesday folders, they will also sort the assignments and hand them out on Fridays. This will happen in the last 15 minutes of class after the student has completed their work for the day.

Design Assistant Helps put up and take down posters, decorate classroom spaces, and display student work. This can be done after a quiz is finished or after independent work is completed when there is still time left. Any student work taken down will be placed in their graded work folder at the front.
