1945 We are a Career and Technical Student Organization.
Our name changed to FCCLA in 1999; we were formally known as Future Homemakers of America.

Who is eligible to join Montana FCCLA?
A student enrolled in any CTE class A student currently taking a FCS class A student who has formally taken a FCS class B & C only All of the above

Any student who has taken or is taking a course in FCS through grade 12 is eligible for membership in an organized chapter within their school. Montana FCCLA has approximately 1,100 members in 68 chapters.

FCCLA Mission To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communications, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

Musical Bags Objective: ensure everyone gets a bag every round!
When the music starts, mingle around. When the music stops, each person must have both feet on a paper bag by the countdown 3-2-1 After each round, remove 2 bags. Participants must work together to figure out how they will ensure everyone gets a bag (ripping current bags into smaller pieces, multiple people standing on a bag, etc) If participants need hints (especially as you get down to only a few bags left), tell them - is there any way you could make the space of the bag larger? - is there a way to spread people out but still have everyone touching a bag?

Divide the table into two teams sitting opposite of one another In the center is each National Program Each team will select one member to begin A National Program description will be read Team members will “swat” the answer The team with the most points wins
