Officials Info - Uniform
Can wear ONE item for a cause such as cancer or memorial Wrist Band Ribbon Whistle or Whistle Lip Guard Uniforms Black pants – only black sock should be visible Acceptable to wear shorts with long sleeve shirt

Officials Info - Mechanics
25 second count, don’t forget the 10 second basketball style signal Casts must be inspected, NO physician note required. Dead Ball Officiating – best officiating occurs during dead ball. Watch for cheap shots or taunting on blowouts and at end of game. Don’t say “Concussion” to coach when sending a player off. Enumerate the symptoms you have observed. When filling out the Liability alert, please mention concussion.

Many changes in 5 man mechanics U and LJ switch on kickoff Consistent mechanics – use the NFHS manual Changes on pgs 8, 14, 19 BUT, WE WILL BRING CAPTAINS TO THE CENTER OF THE FIELD after the half!!!!!! Supplemental NYS Signals – 2011 Section of the Documents on the web site Notify Dennis, the Section, and a copy to Paul Weatherup if teams are not wearing legal uniforms. We WILL STILL PLAY THE GAME.

Rule Change Proposals Must come to me PRIOR to October 1st. This is the last day I can submit it to the state interpreter. DO NOT SEND TO THE STATE INTERPRETER or NFHS directly. Should use the form at the end of the NFHS presentation. Should show current rule with cross outs. New text should be in the proper place All references should be included

2012 Goals Consistent current mechanics across the state – use the NFHS Manual Rule expertise – know the rules and how to apply them – don’t be afraid to ask for my help when play situations arise that are controversial or when you aren’t sure Watch the entire Aloha Referee’s clinic tapes – use for discussion as we may not agree with everything Matt says Coaches off the field and out of the box when the ball is alive! Have Fun!!
