The People Inc. Employee Self Service Module is designed to provide all employees access to their information recorded in the People Inc. database (if required). Employees can also view other selected information held in the system (for example current vacancies and training courses). It allows employees to book holidays via the intranet and for this to be authorised by their manager Other functionality such as Timesheet management, Expense Claims, Performance Management etc. can be added as required. The PI ESS shares the same database as People Inc. so there are no compatibility issues or duplication of effort The potential time and cost savings for such a system are very significant. ‘Who sees what’ managed by HR using the People Inc. People Inc. ESS - Benefits
Employees can book holidays quickly and easily, at any time of day (without a paper form). Employees can always see details of holidays they have booked (and what they have taken). Employees can see how much holiday they have remaining, and requests are automatically checked against holiday allowances. Employee holiday requests are approved by managers (or other nominated staff). Managers can see which members of their team are absent from work to ensure they have the minimum staffing levels required, before approving holiday requests. The HR team does not spend valuable time entering holiday request details into the system. The HR team retain control: they can view all pending requests, monitor the time taken to approve/decline requests, and approve pending requests themselves if necessary. agathonhr – – –
