GOAL SETTING SMART (ies) S = Specific M = Measurable A = Attainable R = Responsible T = Timed PRACTICE: Set 1 yearly goal for your chapter. If you have time, start to list the steps your chapter needs to complete in order to achieve that goal.

6 Why do you need a program of work?
It is the duty of your chapter to set goals and work to achieve those goals each year. In order to move toward and achieve goals, we must have planning and direction. A Program of Work allows you to look at an entire year and effectively plan activities to achieve your goals.

7 What is a Program of Work – The Details
It is an outline of activities covering a definite period. It includes specific goals and plans to achieve those goals. It should be well planned and carefully worded. It should be based on the needs of the members and the organization, with consideration given to the needs of the school and community. It should represent the combined thinking of a majority of the members.
