November Congregational Update

Background In mid-2016, Pastor Ray felt God’s leading to facilitate the eventual transition to a new Senior Pastor On Oct. 2, 2016, Pastor Ray announced intention to stay on in a pastoral capacity through Feb. 2018 With that timeline in mind, we are planning for the calling of a new Senior Pastor

Input from the Congregation is a key aspect of the Pastor Search process Survey Launched on October 17 Responses completed October 30

Survey Respondents 488 Responses 26.5% were age 40-49
25.4% were age and 70+

Basic Demographics Survey responses evenly split across age brackets
Even split between those with and without children living at home Those who attend worship services 3-4 times a month accounted for about 90% of the responses Those who attend some type of Bible study/Small group accounted for about 58% of the responses

The survey suggests that the pastor should have a Master’s degree from a seminary school at a minimum

The top four character traits (over 50% positive) FBCW would like to see in our Senior Pastor are: Honest and Trustworthy Prayerful and Wise Faithful and Steadfast Outgoing and People-Oriented
