Mission of the EC Delivery Team
To work with the EC Division and DPI Technology Services to develop and manage CECAS and other EC computer based applications To coordinate the collection, analysis and reporting of statewide data on Exceptional Children

CECAS The Comprehensive Exceptional Children Accountability System (CECAS) is a case management and data analysis system that is offered to Local Education Authorities (LEAs), Charter Schools and State Operated Programs as a means to manage and analyze exceptional student records

Exit Count Exit Count opened September 15 and must be certified by midnight September 30 Please complete an initial submission by September 22 to allow time to correct errors Submission is for Exits occurring between July 1, and June 30, New Charters do not submit an Exit Count. All other LEAs and Charter Schools are required to submit Exit Count.

Indicator 11 Count Indicator 11 Count opens October 3 and closes October 21 Submission is for all initial referrals occurring between July 1, 2015 and June 30, New Charters beginning in school year do not submit an Indicator 11 count this school year Test count is available in CECAS now for you to review your data

Indicator 12 Collection Indicator 12 is collected via a spreadsheet located at: Spreadsheet is due October 21 Submission is for all students referred by Part C (infant-toddler program) with third birthday between July 1, 2015 and June 30, Charter Schools do not submit Indicator 12

CECAS and PowerSchool CECAS Daily Users
Data exchanged: PowerSchool to CECAS: Student demographic data, LEA Info, and School Info CECAS to PowerSchool: EC data loaded to EC Data Screen in PowerSchool Daily: CECAS and PowerSchool exchange data in almost real time Once per year after EOY: CECAS and PowerSchool perform a complete sync (reload) of data to update data from previous to new school year

CECAS and PowerSchool CECAS Reporting Users
Reporting User files are being loaded manually on a periodic basis into PowerSchool 3rd party vendors submit files to DPI PowerSchool personnel upon request Files are manually loaded into PowerSchool by DPI PowerSchool personnel Files provided to PowerSchool are not processed by CECAS Files provided to PowerSchool are not the same files as the weekly files provided by 3rd party vendors to CECAS
