3. The background:
Portuguese teams have participated in all phases of the development of this infrastructure:
ESONET – FP6 NETWORK OF EXCELENCE, 2007 – Draws the societal, scientific and technical foundations of EMSO;
EMSO PP – FP7 and ESFRI – EMSO PREPARATORY PHASE, Legal and governance structure;
EMSO DEV – H2020, 2015 – Design and develop the EMSO generic instrument module;
EMSO ERIC - Set European Research Infrastructure Consortium granted by the commission. Portugal is one of the funder members;
EMSO – PT – FCT National Infrastructure. National consortium to install the portuguese EMSO nodes. Contract signed Jun2017
