Prepare for Learning Who needs to warm up before performances? How do they do it? How does it work?

2 Learning Objectives All will be able to give reasons for the need to warm up and identify different vocal warm ups. Most be able to explain the need to warm up & give a good description of a variety of warm ups saying how each helps to prepare the body. This should also link to their own working practise. Some will be able to give a thorough explanation of why and how to warm up the voice with links to professionals and how they will apply this to their own working practise.

How did you develop your knowledge/understanding/skills? How can you use it in the future to improve your skills & performance? How do professionals use it in the Performing Arts industry. What can you learn from them and use in your own working practise? Remember to check your work against the criteria

Skills Development Contextual Understanding of Work Related aspects Evaluation of own & others work Depending on what you write and the level of detail, one write up could include all of the above criteria and therefore be worth lots of marks. Thorough = A*/A/B  Good = B/C  Reasonable = C/D 
